havent been blogging since like forever, i know right. haha, so here's a little update of my life!
ever since my school holiday started, i had to seize every chance i have to enjoy maaself (esp when my internship starts in 4 days after last day of paper). And sooo, i did the following stuff...
The Avengers
Straight after the paper, i went to watch the Avengers movie. It was quite good actually, especially because it was funny on top of the action packed storyline. And before the movie, i was thinking whether to buy the Avengers popcorn set for the collectable cup (I am a cup collector u see). But i thought & thought n thought and thought through it, and decided it will be a waste of money (I guess I am not a true cup collector). So, didnt buy the cup lorh..
Buttt...vioolaa, after the movie, there were 2 cups sitting right in front of us in the theatre! I did look left, look right and look left again but there was no cup owner(s) in sight. In fact the whole row was like almost empty by then. So, i guess it was a sign for me to continue my cup collection (I am a natural cup collector), and so i koped the cups and figurines (i had 2 in the end, yay!). Here's a victory picture for ya =)

Heh heh heh, finally "completed" a more personal blog style, for easier reading also! Was kinda interested in taking photos recently and I took a pic of a rainbow lolly, (and i dunno why i so contradicting but i removed all the colours except blue [of course]. On the left bottom is a picture i photoshopped (for the first time!). Not too bad huh! =D The drawing was drawn by a random artist and is inspired by a recent movie (pls guess correctly if not means the artist fail and the money is wasted), but it doesn't really resemble me lurh...zzz
But other than that, i quite like the drawing and artistic flair behind it, so *tada*, it's blogged! Enjoy the new outlook~

This story is an example of why we should count every single day as a blessing...

(click on the pic to go to her blog)
Little something about this brave little girl (extracted from her blog):
"a 5-month old little girl named Avery who has an incurable disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). While SMA is the #1 genetic killer of infants & children under the age of 2, most people have never heard of it, there is no cure for it, and there's minimal clinical research being done to find a cure for it. Avery has created a "bucket list" of things she'd like to accomplish before she dies"
The sad thing is, this little girl has already passed. It's really sad. Read the blog posts (which are written from the perspective of Avery) and you can find that every little thing that people take for granted is viewed as a huge accomplishment for her. She even wanted to go on the ELLEN show (woots imma big fan of ELLEN too *hi five!*) on Mayday, but she passed the day before (T.T)....
Every kid should have a childhood, and that illness took it away from her. Illness that stupid asshole. Anyways, reading on, I really liked one post of hers titled "SMA please don't take my smiles away". It's really nice to see that the illness didn't manage to take away her smiles, or at least to others that she knew. Yes and randomly, i tot of today and i believed i smiled like almost the whole way after MY LAST PAPER OF THE SEMESTER! Yes, I really can't help but just keep smiling because it feels like a really heavy weight lifted off my shoulders! Like crazy, i know. But whatever, at least i got my smile back =) And i watched 'The Avengers' today and got 2 "free" collectacups. muahaha~ Yes, why isit "free"? Because some spendthrifts left them at the theatre and with my hawk eye vision i managed to spot them and kope them before anything happens. haha really happy cause I wanted to add an avengers cup to my cup collection..and now i have 2! woots! (more reasons to smile again =D) Yay, soooo happy belated-Mayday to everyone, and here i'll leave with a quote: "The greatest wealth is health." -Virgil. So true...

arrgghhh! this is killing me. The latest paper i took was 2 days ago and my last paper will be in 4 days times. But i'm like slacking all the way and don't even have a tinge of motivation to study for my last paper!! one week seems forever but nothing's completed =( why like this one...shesh, every single thing looks so much more appealing to me right now. even the things i've seen before like tons of times alr, shiet.

WOosh, this is my first time i'm using the new blog design. Not really used to it as the post slot is really big but the size of the words remains the same. Anyways, here's a video that i chanced upon and i think it's really amazing. Not only for the fact that the it shows a bullied finally getting the recognition he deserves (shame on you bullies -.-), but more importantly, it shows friendship over fame. It's really sad to say that some people u consider friends do break your heart. But whatever, they really don't deserve your f/s. Just rmb to treasure those good friends of yours. Like what people say, enemies are whatever BUT friends are forever =D
YAY the welfare pack is here!!

But half is almost gone *heh heh heh* Studying is seriously energy consuming!

But half is almost gone *heh heh heh* Studying is seriously energy consuming!
(>.<)
omigosh! exams are like this week and yes i've been trying to study but no i cant seem to absorb anything i do! i'm always distracted every now and then (don't get me wrong, the distractions are wayyy better and i won't miss them for study), but why does the good distractions always come at the time when exams are here. sianzzz. And i am (i guess) really trying to focus and do wad i can, but every thing is going from bad to worse. i practiced, it's a C. then i practiced more and then i failed (T.T). Why does this kind of stuff always happen to mee. I wana know what i'm studying, i wana enjoy wad i'm studying. but no, there'll always be rules and regulations to abide by and restrictions to follow. even though after completing so many modules, i don't really feel educated at all......i wonder how those people that have the same experience as me faring in life now....

I came across this interesting restaurant concept of using a space on the old airplane board of Switzerland to create a restaurant with an airplane theme. The grand scale of the airplane in the restaurant (esp looking from outside at night) already intrigues anyone that sees it, needless to say the tourists and business class people:

(click on pic to read more!)
And I like the boarding pass touch especially =)
So cool right, next time i wana be boss of such restaurant, then i get to "board" an airplane everyday! ;)

Sooo this is my latest love, from derek =P. Cute as they are, they come in standard sizes and packaging. BUT, the fun thing is, you get to 'dress them up' with your arty farty imagination. Here's a couple which is dressed as a couple, and the designer is >>DEREK<< heh heh heh:

Yes, of course the stylo milo photography by yours truly ;)
And so, if the main role of this danboard is for playing...of course i had to mess around with it =) here's one where i made the danboard go into the "i-believe-i-can-fly" position:

haha, they're really cute in and out of pictures.
love the danboards! <3

yep, and we went for a picnic..again! woots! heh heh heh, we're really getting better at such things. Now, we know how to do a make-shift mat, where's the good locations, and most importantly, the right food to bring along!

Here's a sneak peek to the salmon egg snadwich we made and gobbled down...

and i get to feed the ducks! cool right!

and after that, we went for a little walk down the flora and fauna of Singapore. I managed to snap a few shots in a kinda 'artistic' fashion, which didn't turn out as arty as i wanted but nevertheless...nice =P
Enjoy my snapshots:

So recently, a tutor of mine gave me these goodies during lesson abruptly:

I mean it's sudden because its not the last lesson or anything, but it still feel rather nice to receive presents from teachers once in awhile. Uni teachers can be rather nice too. And thinking of this, i rmbed this idiot teacher who is biased against different students and i believe it's because of his own personality. I mean, it's okay if there's no presents involved butt whats his problem for targeting students when he himself is a problem -.-
Don't mind me. I just get emotional thinking about why there's such teachers and i still tot he was rather 'grandfatherly' in previous semester. yesyes, me and my lousy judgement. Anyways, i'm glad that's over and the present (i mean now) is these chocolates. So yep, this is an example that the future can be brighter too =)
Shessh! there's only like 3 more weeks to final exams and i'm still struggling to catch up with every single thing. Why must life ALWAYS be so super hectic (T.T) And it's not like the stuff we're learning is gonna be useful anyways:
"Biggest Mystery of Maths, 1000s of years passed, Millions of theorems derived, Millions of formulas made, But still, X is unknown!" - unknown
See! Told you!
Anyway, here's a video of my dad and his fishy encounter. Enjoy!

I would be out there, exploring different countries.
My geog and general knowledge could have been so much better.
I could have visited my sister when she's sick.
I could have just gone out whenever I wanted and do whatever I liked.
I wouldn't need to be stuck in this stupid schooling system learning what I am not really interested day in, day out.
My day would have been spent more meaningfully.
I could have been an artist.
I could have won the most-movies-watched-by-a-human-alive world record.
I wouldn't need to worry about so many stuffs.
I wouldn't miss so many bai bai sessions.
I could have hang out at my cousin's place every week.
I might have designed a theme park.
...as if restrictions will disappear -.-

when people aren't concerned about you (or more concerned about the others), next time, they don't deserve to know about you. period :)
Don't say words which you don't mean - be a man of your words
Don't get angry - every minute of anger is 60 seconds of happiness gone
Don't leave everything to others - do it yourself, else it'll only make them nag more and more (a negative externality esp for others in need of peace)
Don't vent your anger on everyone else - they're not your punching bag
.
human flaws = others fustrations
.
I need to watch a stupid webcast, but i can't even watch it in peace. 9am alarm and now it's 130pm and i'm not done with the webcast. serenity is just so hard to get now. hais, back to wc for now...

Soo, tml is my sister's birthday. she's finally 16! It was like 6 years ago when i was 16...
Soo, i made these sandwiches a few days ago (or weeks omg i don't really rmb). They're sort of like the first few sandwiches i made cause usually it'll be my sisters being the cook. I found this imprint really cute and i guess that was my motivation to make sandwiches =P So lemmi bring you through my extraordinary sandwich making procedure...
Step 1: test out imprint on one bread, if it's good...

Step 2: imprint the rest of the breads!

Step 3: add in the ingredients and seaaal!

Step 4: remember to share the love <3 make some for everyone~

Soo, the result was not too bad =) @ least all my sandwiches were finished haha...oh ya and just when i wrote this, i remembered it was the DAY leshay was borned! (^^)yeah~
Yay! And we managed to use our Wagyu beef groupon and had a delicious beef steamboat! It was really worth the price paid as we managed to save 20 bucks off the deal, and it was my first time eating sucha 'high class'(well it's high class to mee) beef. *yum yum*

Oh and i got some easter presents for my sisters and from derek as well <3 Happy early easter day~
Soo random stuffs happen and i got to get a glimpse of this bike while walking from e3a to lt7a in my school. Wow, it's really nice. Just the shade of blue i like on a scooter. Didnt really fancy the helmet though, I'd go for the old-fashioned turtle shell one still, but here's a pic of what i'm describing:

Yup, sometimes you'll find random things that pop up every now and then into your daily monotonous life and it'll kinda brighten your day. Of course, there're days that are lousy too. Like this inconsiderate driver who stopped right smack inside the yellow box blocking the car from turning and in turn preventing a whole line of other cars in the single lane from moving. idiot. i am still thinking about stomping it but maybe i'll propose the idea to my stomper sister. she's totally a regular (although she keeps denying it) and she'll know what to do yeah. haha, here's the evidence:

And recently, weird stuff keeps happening...like when i was in my kitchen having my noon breakfast, my father asked me to look at this crowd gathering at a carpark beside my flat

Yeah, they were like taking some artistic photoshoots and talking quite loudly too..i'll give it to them that they have good parking skills...and it's kinda a stompable photo don't you think? haha...
Soo wednesday is my soci test and tml i've prepared to celebrate my sis bday the whole day, so better work hard alreddy! Leaving you with a quote:
"everybody dies but not everybody lives" - nicki minaj
Soo true, so rememeber to always treasure the people around you, studies/work can really only bring you so far....

YAY!! Finally did up my new blog design. This is inspired from self-photography and my valentine roses (given by derek ^u^). Artistic yeah =P haha. well actually i'm seeing loads of photography taken by so many self-taught individuals, and just nice, there's this bunch of pretty roses just by my desk so...heh heh heh!
And after the photo-taking session, i've rearranged the roses back to my "vase" without the surrounding accessory flowers. Here they are:

I think i wrap much nicer than the person who wrap this originally looo...the bouquet was like exploding by the end of vday -.- But nevertheless, the 9 roses are keepers! ♥
So recess week is over and now is the 8th week into the semester. left 5 more weeks to go. yes, 5. A number countable by one hand. Which is so damn fast! There are the countless projects/assignments/homeworks and midterms which are always just due a "next week" away. Why did i ever choose 2 artsy fartsy modules in a semester. I mean, although theres only like 2 core mods this semester, i don't feel any less stress. And end of this semester will spell the start of my LAST YEAR OF UNI. wow. tink i better don't veer so far ahead and focus on the present first. Of course, a happy thing just happened to my family: my sister just gave birth! 3rd march 2012 is the date to remember as an adorable little dragon baby (and leshay is her name =])was borned to my sister =) haven't visited them since the weekends and i'm already missing them. Just wishing for the weekends to come faster...
Okay, so i better get back to my never-ending stuff. Leaving with this quote:
“An expert is a man who tells you a simple thing in a confused way in such a fashion as to make you think the confusion is your own fault.” – William Castle
And so all the scientists/philosophers/textbooks are guilty as charged. tata~
