I was just telling derek about how big and round the moon was ytd when *tata* the news reported that BLUE MOON was spotted on the 31st of august!! Look at this pic!!

Well okay, the actual moon doesn't really appear 'blue' unlike the photo shown above. That picture was actually tinted blue by a guy (nice choice of colour btw!). Blue moon actually looks like this:
Yep I didnt know this before but a moon is dubbed the 'blue moon' when it is the second full moon of the month! And nope it doesn't occur that often that's where the term 'once in a blue moon' came about! how cool is that. history + english all in one. This can make learning so much more interesting =) Anyways, here is a little more info about the BLUE MOON:
