Reminiscence two.

To satisfy our food craving (since fasting begin that morning), we went to a foodout he found not too long ago...Yep, he's totally enjoying the whole experience and forgetting about his image...food first, image second ya!
Okay, so the variety available at this restaurant is actually quite wide, ranging from the basic seafood, to chinese cooked food, to the western meats n' such. The desserts for selection is also quite plenty, with macaroons, creme brulee (yums!), ice cream w toppings (double yums!), chocolate fondant, cheesecakes of different sorts and just some other cake types. Fruits are of course available too, and the interesting thing is the guava seasoning which is also available for the taking.

There's this little menu seen from the above photo which selection is included within the buffet price. Order from it! The things there are actually quite nice (and sometimes even nicer than the food displayed). First up, we went for the delicacies fresh from the sea....THE SEAFOOD!

Yeah, bamboo clams, prawns, scallops, lobsters, prawns etc, all also have! must eat all we can ah!
Then we decided to target some menu-listed food. This is the salmon (really nice, except abit salty perhaps from the miso-soup-taste base):
The lamb shank! (best of the menu):
It's always good to walk around during buffet for digestion purpose and also keep a lookout for the next food-target from other patrons' plate. While doing that, he found his Favorite cuppa-joe...goodness, he was very excited when he saw this cup of coffee....beans -.-
And to put the collection of enormous items found at the restaurant, here is the other giant salt cruncher:
Alright, next up is the bread. The selection of bread is also quite good and pleasing to the eye (oh, maybe cause we were the first few to eat and all the breads are still a whole? =P ). But anyways, the bread selection is still good also I recalled eating the most common one (on the left) applied with some garlic sauce and dipping it into a soup, which in the end doesn't really taste like a bread anymore..haha
And here's the cheese selection (yeah, don't really have the tradition to eat cheese but the stock pile looks nice):
Woo! and the super huge turkey leg! Dunno is turkey or pig, but it's super big and placed in front of some thinly cut slices of (smoked?) meat. The meat taste good, but can't really eat too many at once if not will feel full...
*Best of the dinner*
The first few oyster I ate was one my sis gave me during one of the family buffet outing and I didn't remember liking it too much. BUTT, this was one of the best oysters I've ever eaten! Fresh, juicy (but cos we squeezed so much lemon onto it), and with a *slurp*, it just goes right down into the tummy. I slurped a total of record-breaking 3 into my stomach haha:
Another dish we ordered off the menu was this toufu..the image doesn't give the food enough credits though cause I felt that it tasted quite nice. It comes in one piece/order, guess so it's more suitable for one person's consumption that way:
The last thing on the menu was the beef tenderloin. Not my fav beef food though...
Other than the beef-on-menu, there is also the self-cut-self-take section where people can take the slice of mean they prefer. We took all kinds of meat, and he took all kinds of mustard zzz...
Creme Brulee is one of my favourite desserts there and I ate 2 Cups! First cup was nicer cause the sweet coating was thicker, so I'll know better to aim for the slightly black one if I ever eat creme brulee again!
One local dish is this char kway teow. Hmmm, I kinda prefer those at the coffee shops though. =X
And more desserts! The one with the white "whipped cream" is the lemon tart. I really like the white icing sweetness, not so much the lemon sourness. Heh heh...
This crepe is quite nice actually, and surprisingly, I liked the super many fruits that was added in it (kiwi, strawberry, apple, dragon-fruit):

Yes! Another shot of creme brulee! The red spoon is some chocolate covered jelly substance. Behind the ball is a durian dessert, nothing fancy to me though O.o
And of course....ICE CREAM TIME! Here's a pretty shot of the ice cream I decorated. =D
And to end it all, we took some marshmellows and dipped it into the chocolate fountain. There's definitely multiple layers to those coatings especially when he coat it for soooo loong! tsk tsk.
So that's the end of our taste buds journey! It wasn't a cheap meal, but its quite worth the experience (and the special event =)). Looking forward to our next makan adventure....can't wait!
