So the other time I went with my friend SQ to eat at this restaurant, and I ordered a lamb shank...and it tasted great! I didn't take any photos then but I mentally noted to bring him here for a taste as the cost was quite alright for this yummy treat. So there we were...(I was again =P)
We tried their mushroom soup (recommended by a few food bloggers) and it tasted great! The quantity was not alot though...like 1/3 of the bowl.
So this time, I ordered the half chicken set while he ordered the lamb shank. The lamb shank is still our favourite dish. Here's the chicken:
And here's the lamb shank!
Yum yum! Should go there to try the food as they're delicious and affordable!
~Game of Golf~
So the other day after settling some of our stuff (like finally!), we decided to do a little golfing. Yep you heard me right - LITTLE golfing. There was this offer for an indoor golf place alllll the way at east coast, big splash, area. We didn't realy know how to get there and the exact location, and in the end, we walked like a few kilometers to reach the place (and i was wearing a new shoe which made my foot so painful T.T). After reaching the location, we realized that there was free shuttle bus services from parkway parade mall and also mountbatten mrt. They leave hourly at 20 mins past the hour. So next time if anyone is getting there, we'll definitely recommend the free bus.
As both of us didn't play golf before, an employee of the golf place taught us abit about golfing. There's a few interesting rules, like how to hold a club and how to stand and stuff. But I think by the end of the different pit stops, we were already going freestyle haha...of course, if I ever play the real golf in the far future, the proper handling will be much more effective, but from this mini-sized version, I believe swinging of thy hips to attain required momentum will be the winning trick ;) Our first stop was Changi Airport:
Next stop is something like an army training camp bases with fighter jets, tanks and tiny sacks (of rice?):
Here's a better view of the tank & sacks:
Next up, we have the turf club! The mural paintings compliment the theme of the pit stops and they were really good art:
Here's the famous durains of Singapore:
Focus....focus...
Our public transport system, and the first stop that has an interactive "mrt" that transports the golf ball to the appropriate holes:
Wheel of Fortune of Suntec city!
Yes, he did some satisfied look when he got this in by the 2nd shot. Video uploading in consideration.
Letting the Pink flamingoes smell my red/pink socks muahaha~:
They have the little bridges that we have to hit the ball across...
See, playful person and playful pose:
Ahaha, carrying the "heavy" cargo with all his might. This is what gyming is for:
This Science Centre stop was out of order, but the decor was interesting and just nice we had to clubs...so he just hadda do it:The 'OUCH' word was already there...so we just had to improvise:
Zoo! There is an interactive monkey behind the bushes that appears when we hit the ball through the ground animals:
Okay, his favourite stop:
The local delights...the miniatures are really life-like:
Haw par Villa! The place so near to my school that I never visited during my school days:
I did the photoshoot for the dragon like the playful pose before (see the tiger art! omg, super nice):
Hmmm, what does Lilliputt mean?
The Lilliputt stop:
Padang (reminds him of his army days~):
Sitting by the Quay, river, ships and all:
Focus again:
Botanical Gardens! Where are the trees??The last stop, SENTOSA! And for this hole, once the ball enters the hole, it will not be retrievable. But after playing 18 stops, we didn't stay for long here either. This had the steepest slope by far...took me quite awhile to get the ball up to the next tier:
A pic with the merlion. Like long lost best friends ya.
Another shot to remember our stay at the indoor golf~
And lastly, our "score"card...
Heh heh, it was quite fun and unique experience. Good place to hangout and spend the day without wasting too much money but doing something fun at the same time. There's some discount for ntuc members too so those of ya with ntuc card should give it a try ya. But once is enough cause super tiring to travel there. We took the shuttle back (we got smarter after abit of golf ;)).
Okay, so a little input for today's entry, it was quite sad but I witness a kitten that was dead (I think it got hit by a car) and it lay limp in the middle of the carpark. It's quite disheartening cause I don't think the cat is stupid enough to stay there when there's a moving car, but then again, it's a kitten. It was a black cat that I always see while walking to/from cp. Reported to spca and I think the people will come collect the cat and bury it or smth. May it rest in peace and whoever who left the cat there, may karma find you.
