Water fun & Dim sum.

Holidays are here for us and although I'm still not fully separated from my project stuff, life is much better without all the need to worry about school matters. So on one of the days, we decided to give the newly built Adventure Cove Waterpark @ Sentosa a visit! It was pretty crowded along the walk from the S.E.A. Aquarium entrance to the waterpark entrance and we saw waves of people coming and entering while standing at the gate. After seeing them, I was starting to prepare myself for some disappointment because I read that queues can be expected to be up to an hour each ride and also the weather report says to expect some showers.  I went in pretty much expecting long waits and suspended rides.
Butt!!! The experience was norrbad! It didn't rain/drizzle that day (at all) so all rides were working fine (weather report not very trustworthy ya?). Then because we started our adventure early, we didn't have to queue long for the first few rides we took. So we tried to give every ride a try before the queues started to extend and expand. A few tips will be to go early, and also travel through the lazy (or adventure) river cos the ground will be so painful to walk on after the sun's up for awhile. It's also faster that way and we got to experience the lazy river at the same time. Of course, after going for all the rides, we went for a lazy stroll about the whole of the river again and it never gets boring, just floating and letting the river carry you. It's actually quite peaceful and makes my mind calm. I guess I just love the floating feeling~ But I also like the adrenaline feeling...so going to the park is very worth it for me ya..haha =)

We took a few shots of the rides we took, like in here, there's 3 kinds of ride and 1 wave pool in the background. While typing this, I realize the space constrain of the park that 1 photo could actually capture 4 types of play. Good ah, save energy and photo space.
Here's the lazy river with loads of empty floats floating around. The floats really know how to enjoy life ya...
He with his favourite hangout. Average food is no longer acceptable, he goes for the super ginormous only.
Yay! My other favourite thing in the park is to swim with the fish @ the Rainbow Reef! The concept is very cool actually to allow noobies to go "snorkel" with the fishes. The water was very cooling too, abit like the cold water we order at kopitiam. I don't really like the intro given to the participants before the swim though, cause they assume everyone knows how to use the snorkle mask which is so not true. We had alot of difficulty on our first swim because we had to try-&-error by ourselves in the deep pool. And summor it's in the water which makes it so much more unfamiliar. Almost had a panic attack in the first few moments I started the reef experience. We then exchanged how-tos after the first swim and the second swim was way better.
There's the feeding food that's available for purchase and this person was feeding from the side. All the fishes swam to this glass and the variety was amazing! The colours of the fishes were also very pretty. But too bad for this batch of snorkelers cause there might not be fish left in the other parts of the pool for their snorkeling experience as all the fishes were *er herm* preoccupied by other stuffs?
Snorkelers in the mini reef! Ehh where did all the fishes go? ;)
A nice view of the wave pool *snap!*
Then we had lunch-dinner and ordered the bottomless chips! The service of this outlet wasn't really good (there is one chinese lady w short hair that has a great attitude), but some others are like doing minimal things and standing around and didn't even offer to refill the chips when our bowl is empty. Then we asked one guy (with golden ponytail) for a refill and he came back with the chips filled but the sauce still empty -.- Diaos... And we also waited like 30 mins after we asked for bill and had to ask again, then this same guy came (he wasn't our bill asker though) with the bill and credit card paper, left it on the table and just walked away. Never ask for signature or nothing. In the end we just signed and took the card and left. So conclusion: We like the Tanglin outlet way better cause the service there is great with much friendlier waiters/waitresses.
Tried this triple thingy and he liked it.

We visited JB for my crayfish crave and tried out this outlet for a light meal. Quite worth it and the experience is nice too.
BIG burgers! Happy only.

Then on another day, when we were hungry but not that hungry to eat a full meal, we decided to give the "new" Canton Paradise restaurant a try. I like the blue porcelains.
The dim sums were not bad too. We only ordered 3 dishes, which managed to fill our stomachs by the end of it. The yellow pork buns and chee qiong fan are nice.

To end this post, I found a quote recently which I think is very true. Here it goes:
"Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness" - unknown
Are you free or happy? For now, I guess I'm both =)
