The spooky season is here again! Yep, it'll be Halloween soon and although this festive is celebrated more widely overseas, the hype here has been gaining some momentum over the past few years. So for this year, we went to the Halloween Horror Nights at USS for the second year running (yay his treat!) and visited the 3 popular horror houses plus got to play some rides. This year's theme is based on 3 sisters who are particularly spooky in certain aspects. I would say the first house that we visited is the better one compared to the other 2. Maybe is because of the wait (we didn't buy express) or maybe it's due to the aircon. But I think it's a right choice not to buy express because the roller coaster wasn't in operation, which will actually be the main event for us =P We also got to join in the spirit of queuing which took super long (more than 1.5 hr for the 2nd house), and stuffy, and tiring on the legs etc. Well, good training for the legs (o.O). Anyway, we weiqi-ed against each other (it was a close match) while waiting and it made time pass abit faster? The best part towards the night was that I got a milkshake to accompany me on the walk back to vivo because the lrt isn't in service anymore. And this time, we got to stay longer towards the closing time and it was rather peaceful because there were lesser people and also the monsters weren't as high already haha...here're some bits & pieces of our time there =)

I haven't seen pasar malam here for awhile and finally it was back. I was saying this kind of stalls maybe the X factor for tourists because it happens spontaneously without any warning, just like certain events overseas that happen once in a year to us. Summor I think it brings out a very local flavour when everyone and anyone wears all sort of homely clothes down to stroll along the stalls. We tried this special crab thingy that tasted quite nice. It's expensive though, that's why we didn't buy too many. Of course, I had to save some space for candy floss too ;)

Okay this place is quite near my house, but I didn't try this restaurant until that day. The food was...let's start with the ribs and chicken first: the ribs were quite good, and the chicken tasted soft and tender. Potato was nice too. Hence, the double meat meal was not too bad. Butt! the nachos were quite terrible to me as I expected some crunchy, crispy crackers. It came out as soft, soggy biscuits joined together by the cold melted cheese. Eww. Photo doesn't look too bad, but erm, never again.

Actually this wasn't backdated but it came last so I'll just follow the format heh heh...We ate at Sushi Tei again!! Whee, love the salmon here, and we ordered a double up salmon sashimimi. Looks good, taste good! Good good good! Type until my salmon craving is back already. Okay, let's stare at the yummy pictures now...
This time, we ordered the don too. I wasn't really paying much attention to the don so I can't really rmb how it tasted. Should be not too bad, but the salmon was just awesome to turn my attention away from. (*tada* the salmon appeared as backdrop for this photo too!)
Another salmon try and it was great! The top layer looks solid, butt actually it's a sauce made from roe. It's an interesting dish and I would love to eat it again! with the salmon sashimimi! Nom!
And we ended the date with our fav ice cream again, and I artified the image to make it look cooler heh heh heh...
Talked to my friend today and realize that this period of our lives, we experience quite a lot of things. But I guess it's the learning experience shaping us to be who we want to be, and to be a better person. It's really sad that we had to have those kind of experiences, but its a reminder of who we don't want to become. It forces us to make decisions, but really, it might just lift a huge burden off the shoulders in time to come. Do good and even living a normal life is good enough.
