Well, I'm quite pissed off actually. Firstly I wasn't told. Secondly you just let it happen all along. If she didn't tell me, I'd still be doing the same thing the next few years. Evil. The trouble maker all along. Had so many hiccups because of you. Maybe it's a hint for me to leave asap.
There's one more week left for Nov 2013, are you ready for the merriest month of the year yet? I'll always look forward to the last month of the year because it's the time where I don't have to go school, get to have loads of presents*, and also look forward and welcome the new year =)
*subjective
Haha, anyways, I am really glad to be able to do something good today which has been something I've wanted to do for a loong loong time. Feels really good, so I'll encourage all of you who wanted to do something good to strive ahead and at least accomplish it once before the year ends. Once a year isn't too little, but it definitely ain't too much either.

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me." - Bruce
I used to catch this TV show called the undercover boss, which I think is quite a meaningful show. Here the bosses undergo a makeover and join in their employees to do the task that they hire people to do and observe the things that are going on on the ground level, which is meaningful because one can never understand the situation fully until they step into the shoes of the person they are judging. And best of all, good people gets rewarded for their work and great attitute at the end of the show! So here's one video episode that I really liked and resonated in my heart for quite sometime and henece, I decided to blog it up. It's a special shoutout to the old gentleman who took his time to give back to society and even donate part of his earnings to buy special soaps that is safe even for toddlers to use (well, popeye is a food place so it's important to maintain high sterility, even by customers). But this man's generosity truly deserves recognition and so, this post is for him =)
Was looking at the news of the new Marina Coastal Expressway and I saw this cute little video about the land transportation. Think partly its cuteness comes from the way it is portrayed =) Here it is!
Sometimes in life, you only have yourself to hold away the disappointments.
Came across this video online and found it rather interesting. Science, even interesting ones, doesn't need to take too much of your time ;)
I want to live in a social-media-free and science-full world! Well, I like bloggin' though, and I think it's not social media since it's only a one way traffic? For the rest, I'm super phantom on them because most of my good friends doesn't use them much anyways. "People can put you down through their actions and words, but as long as you know what you want and live for yourself, the people who love you will understand and you can live your life for yourself without regrets."
I had a blast =D Thank you everyone. Love u guys, u guys rock!

"Go work until you get the job that you wanna have" - Ashton Kutcher
It's only been 3 months since I commenced, and that event in my life seemed like a very very distant memory. I guess most of my friends who graduated same batch as me are already working, and I have even met some of them in their line of jobs. It's a rather interesting experience because I have never expected to meet any one from my cohort during work, and the circumstances in which I meet them aren't really usual too. Recently, one of my friend had an opportunity to travel across the globe to the other side of earth on a job trip, which seems really cool. This is the first (okay maybe third) time I had the realization that jobs can bring people to places way beyond the local reach. Of course, going overseas for a vacation is more appealing but for now, the job trip thingy sounds rather good too. Happy for them =)
Looking back, there are many experience to learn from and grow with. The people I've talked with are always such strong people, they make me become inspired by their simple yet powerful thoughts and values. "Leave the bad, appreciate the good. Believe in karma, and the whole world is blue." - yours truly. Haha, see they even inspire my poetic self ;P
Anyways, I'm looking forward to the coming days and months!

After keeping this place on my list of to-go places for a while, we finally got to visit it! Yes, another salmon craving satisfaction because just nice, they were having the salmon sashimi promotion! wohahaha~ For that meal, it consisted of salmon, salmon & more salmon. Whee, I'm lovin' it! Okay, when we arrived that day, the queue was quite long, and so when we were waiting for our turn to enter, we were saying that the seats facing the queue is quite an awkward place to be since everyone will be staring at you having your meal. And *tada*, we got those seats -.- Luckily, we spotted some other "free space" and quickly made the switch. This time we got to sit at a very unique part of the restaurant : the bar area.
After looking through the menu, we found that the most worth it order would be the special offer for the day, which is the salmon sashimi. And so we ordered 2 rounds of em'.
A alot of people ordered the salmon sashimi in bulk and they arrive in different sized plates according to how much you order. So there were salmon slices flying out on normal coloured sized plates to like plates the size of the holder like those where CNY goodies are placed in. Yes, and they're ordered by a couple. Must be super experienced with this promotion =X
Another dish we ordered is the salmon skin. Really crispy on every bite. And the taste is also very nice. It's a good half-time break from the cold & soft sashimi.
To sum up my experience for this place: we stood, we ate sushi, and we sat at a bar. =)
-----18-----
Then this is an early bday treat from my good friend. (Thanks for the treat!) I think the meal is quite value for money and the food also arrived rather promptly because we managed to beat the lunch-time rush hour by going slightly earlier. One thing to note is that the waitresses clear anything that they deem "finished", w/o asking if the dish is really done. So, a tip will be to make sure visible amount of food/drink is left wherever they are if you don't want them to clear your food yet.

I know people always say to invest in money, but you see, investing in food can also be beneficial too! ;)
We tried a few new places recently, and for the 2 that is blogged for this entry, i personally feel that one was good and the other was not so. Let's start with the good =)
We went to this restaurant just nearby which was opened by a (if I'm not wrong) Suria tv channel celebrity chef. The impression I had on this place before dining there was that it was always having long queue and I wouldn't be bothered to queue for this place as there was many nice dining restaurants around too. But I'm glad we ate here at least once because I think the steak is cooked really well (just right to the degree that we ordered). They sell other food like fish & chips and other stuff too, but I guess steak would be their specialty as their name suggest ;) Here's the photo of steak #1:
And here's steak #2:
On top of that, we saved some tummy space for desserts because we can't wait for our holiday to eat it: Belgium Waffles! It was okay lah, not too bad but I liked the ones in Korea way way better.
Okay, talking about Korea, the next outlet we visited was a korean-styled charcoal bbq restaurant. As we had visited one of the BEST kcb (korean-charcoal-bbq) restaurant before, my expectations for kcb was quite high. And maybe it's because of that that I didn't really find this place all that enticing. Of course there were other factors too, like this place doesn't use pure charcoal. By that, I mean they started heating a single layer of charcoal with the normal gas-fire (which is okay), then they off-ed the fire (which makes me go: wow this is really a kcb), then we realized that there wasn't much heat going on when our food was taking way too loong to cook (which we thought was due to the charcoal not heating well enough but even the staff came and re-on the fire), and finally, our food cooked at the speed it was supposed to, by the fire. So in short, we had a normal bbq-with-fire style meal, with a layer or burnt charcoal that was not replenished even when it burned out. The charcoal quantity you see, is the charcoal quantity you get. I am actually okay if the restaurant was named korean bbq, but they inserted a 'charcoal' into it and I just feel it's not worthy of that description. I would so much rather eat 2D1N than this.
Another thing I find odd about the way things are done is regarding the xiao cais. Because we were told that they are replenishable, so we asked for replenishing when we finished. And it took quite loong to come. What's my perception of long? Imagine the waitress/waiter walk past you 3-4 times (sometimes serving customers other times I'm not sure what they're doing), and there nearby there's this tray full of xiao cais which they just brought out not too long ago. It's quite funny that in the end, the xiao cai came from that tray because if they let us and if it didn't seem that rude, I would have took 2 steps and went over to get it and save their "effort" to get it. So in short, the waiting time was a boo boo for me.
One thing I have to admit, the service did sped up abit in the later part for the water & ice refilling. Yup, and the marination for the chicken was not bad, and and the beef was very nicely & thinly sliced. Their lettuce also looked really fresh and I really liked the colours.
Also, there's this pumpkin noodles that tasted like dang hoon and it wasn't too bad!
The soup I ordered (the supposedly non spicy version) came filled with chillis. It was okay and I ate a few cucumbers before giving it up.
Finally, I always had the impression that bosses are always very friendly people who would try their best to mingle with the customers of their shops. But this shop changed my stereotype. Throughout the meal, I observed that the ladyboss (I think she was the ladyboss) didn't once smiled while serving food or even when we thanked her. She didn't show a smelly face either, but her face was just the same monotonous look. Even when we left, the staffs thanked us but she didn't. Come to think of it, I don't rmb hearing her speak at all. Maybe she was having a bad day that day, but as service-person (and what's more being the boss), hospitality should be innate no matter a good or bad day. So all in all, I will call this a once in a lifetime experience because it'll be the place that I only want to experience it once in my entire life and I wouldn't go back if I have the choice.

The spooky season is here again! Yep, it'll be Halloween soon and although this festive is celebrated more widely overseas, the hype here has been gaining some momentum over the past few years. So for this year, we went to the Halloween Horror Nights at USS for the second year running (yay his treat!) and visited the 3 popular horror houses plus got to play some rides. This year's theme is based on 3 sisters who are particularly spooky in certain aspects. I would say the first house that we visited is the better one compared to the other 2. Maybe is because of the wait (we didn't buy express) or maybe it's due to the aircon. But I think it's a right choice not to buy express because the roller coaster wasn't in operation, which will actually be the main event for us =P We also got to join in the spirit of queuing which took super long (more than 1.5 hr for the 2nd house), and stuffy, and tiring on the legs etc. Well, good training for the legs (o.O). Anyway, we weiqi-ed against each other (it was a close match) while waiting and it made time pass abit faster? The best part towards the night was that I got a milkshake to accompany me on the walk back to vivo because the lrt isn't in service anymore. And this time, we got to stay longer towards the closing time and it was rather peaceful because there were lesser people and also the monsters weren't as high already haha...here're some bits & pieces of our time there =)

I haven't seen pasar malam here for awhile and finally it was back. I was saying this kind of stalls maybe the X factor for tourists because it happens spontaneously without any warning, just like certain events overseas that happen once in a year to us. Summor I think it brings out a very local flavour when everyone and anyone wears all sort of homely clothes down to stroll along the stalls. We tried this special crab thingy that tasted quite nice. It's expensive though, that's why we didn't buy too many. Of course, I had to save some space for candy floss too ;)

Okay this place is quite near my house, but I didn't try this restaurant until that day. The food was...let's start with the ribs and chicken first: the ribs were quite good, and the chicken tasted soft and tender. Potato was nice too. Hence, the double meat meal was not too bad. Butt! the nachos were quite terrible to me as I expected some crunchy, crispy crackers. It came out as soft, soggy biscuits joined together by the cold melted cheese. Eww. Photo doesn't look too bad, but erm, never again.
-----backdated 4-----
Actually this wasn't backdated but it came last so I'll just follow the format heh heh...We ate at Sushi Tei again!! Whee, love the salmon here, and we ordered a double up salmon sashimimi. Looks good, taste good! Good good good! Type until my salmon craving is back already. Okay, let's stare at the yummy pictures now...
This time, we ordered the don too. I wasn't really paying much attention to the don so I can't really rmb how it tasted. Should be not too bad, but the salmon was just awesome to turn my attention away from. (*tada* the salmon appeared as backdrop for this photo too!)
Another salmon try and it was great! The top layer looks solid, butt actually it's a sauce made from roe. It's an interesting dish and I would love to eat it again! with the salmon sashimimi! Nom!
And we ended the date with our fav ice cream again, and I artified the image to make it look cooler heh heh heh...
Talked to my friend today and realize that this period of our lives, we experience quite a lot of things. But I guess it's the learning experience shaping us to be who we want to be, and to be a better person. It's really sad that we had to have those kind of experiences, but its a reminder of who we don't want to become. It forces us to make decisions, but really, it might just lift a huge burden off the shoulders in time to come. Do good and even living a normal life is good enough.
I'm not really sure if this is really the way to go for me. I mean, writing the proposal, the only thing that is confirmed is the next 2 years. What about thereafter? Is there a possibility that I will be needed? Or maybe I will be dumped when another brighter one takes on the next 4 years phase? 2 years can be an added experience, but it also can mean advancement in alternative places. Do I have 2 years to lose? I guess I won't really know until after tomorrow friday night when the final event unfolds.

Many things happen on my way to school...for instance, people are getting up & ready to go to work, the weather is getting warmer (& sometimes wetter), and the best scene is unfolding over the skies. Yup, I guess alot of people travel by the MRTs which travel mostly via undergrpund (esp the line I travel in), so they won't notice how the skies shift over the time they enter the MRT gates till the time they exit it at their desinations. Luckily, I don't always travel underground. Sometimes, I get rides to work (wheee! =P) and I got to witness the very beautiful sun-rising process. It's so pretty they deserve some snapshots so here's my camera at work...
Even after looking at the picture for so many times, I still feel that it's a really nice scene. I think sun-rising and sun-setting has a very calming effect on the mind. Just taking some time off the daily routine to admire the whole process could really help one in destressing. At least that's what I think. Yup, and the other time, my family went to celebrate my sister's bday, and we went to somewhere near the Bird Park to have dinner, and I saw this, the sun-setting scene...
Where to find such pretty pictures in real life right? Here lorh, in Singapore. But you'll have to be at the right place at the right time I guess.
Okay, then this is a random picture. The other time we went to a resturant which looked like a mini Japanese market just beside the super nice Japanese bbq place, and tried their salmon and scrimps. The salmon tasted good, but I still like sushi tei's one better because they're much colder and temperature is one criteria that will make it or break it for me. The scrimps are really interesting because they kinda melted in our mouths, something like how ice creams melts in the mouth, but they're not ice cream. It's a dish to try, and try again ;)
Aha! This then is the real ice cream. This shop's ice cream an all time favourate for me (certain flavours only), and I like to put the rainbow toppings which is free flow for customers.
So over the weekends, we went to the zoo! We brought the little one along the excursion and I think she had a blast. It was a really tiring but fun day because me and my sis had to carry the many goodie bags and rush here and there, but it's always fun to see how kids react when they go to the zoo and see the variety of animals for the first time. I remebered during the younger days, my dad also brought us to the family day (which is also at the zoo), and we made friend's with his friend's daughter. In those days, they still had the spider web playground and we could climb up and down the tangled ropes. It was super fun then.
For now, there's still the water playground for kids which is really fun too. And I took this picture in which my niece is super cute! Haha! My sis was helping her to remove the pampers and she was still posing the thumbs up sign and oblivious to the kao-wei-ness of the removal. The playground must be super good!
And here's another shot of them running through the water tunnel. I think this is a very nice shot taken by *waves waves* \o/ Of course, what I won't say is the 99 other shots that 'could have' been taken at the time but not shown, which is of course not true...
And then we had our second helpings at the nearby KFC and b&j, where we witness something interesting. Well, all I can say is that we shouldn't do bad stuff cause we might never know who we will bump into around the corner, esp in Sgp cos it's sooo small. Anyways, it was a fun day at the zoo and I guess we'll be doing this again when the little boy grows older also. The end!

Okay now here's a very good alternative to saving money, heh heh heh.
Yup! Something big happened today...it's my nephew's one month old celebration =)
Time really flies. I still remember looking forward to his arrival seeing my sister's big tummy and all. Then one fine day, this little boy popped out of his mama's belly. Everything happened really fast, and it's been already 4 weeks! I guess this mini celebration is not only for the little one, but also for the mom who had to stay indoors for the 4 loong weeks; in that way, it marks the regaining of freedom for her to go out and also to eat food that she wants ;P stay happy and healthy little nephew <3 p="">3>
Anyways, I had fun seeing my sis open the presents, and I think my niece had the most fun too...cause she just imagined (maybe she really believes) that the toys are hers haha...

-----&-----
We went to this place, kinda centralized but hidden, and tried out their burgers. It's really funny cause it was me who suggested this place, but in the end, it was him who knew more about this place then me. What is this right, chey! Okay, so we ordered 3 courses, one drink and two mains. The drink is really special because they freeze up the tea and serve them in cubes before pouring hot hot water over them. Taste wise, hmmm...not our cup of tea looo...
I ordered the salmon burger & he chose the B burger. The fries are the skinny ones which I don't really enjoy as much as the fat ones. And I chose the original flavour which is really plain, so there's no plus point there. But I had to say the salmon is nice.
Here's the other one...
-----The little fishes with a dollar osyters-----
We also tried a new restaurant at nex because they were having some osyter offer and he wanted to eat back the osyters he missed out on during his ippt gotta-restrain-from-over-eating period, and so we went for this deal. We ate a total of 12 osyters, not really our record but I felt that the osyters tasted weird (he said it was okay). As usual, the salmon dish stood out for me and I chose a char-grilled salmon which tasted really good. He took the yellowfish tuna which looked like steak and misled me on few occasions. But all in all, I still think salmon tasted best sashimi and non-sashimi wise. One interesting thing about this place is that they provide crayons to draw on the paper-covered table. I didn't really know about this concept until he gave me the crayon holder and asked me to doodle, and so I did (see photo below). It was something very basic and necessary at a seafood restaurant. What's more, I drew my missing spoon out too. But I have to say I don't really like the way the paper is placed. Because when it was time to leave, I almost got myself a paper cut trying to maneuver out of the tiny spaces between tables and between the table & my seat.
Then we walked out of the seafood place and into this dessert place. I don't like yogurt but I don't know why I like this version of "it". It really taste like ice cream to me but I'm not sure why it's advertised as the former. Anyways, I had the usuals with my fav rainbow toppings. Yummy!
-----the Maine thing-----
Went to watch a concert not too loong ago (yes actually it happened yesterday only =P) and I think the band was not bad. The opening band wasn't too bad either but I had no idea what words they were singing. The place wasn't super crowded (which was super good) and we stood at the end of the first tier so we wasn't squashed like mad. But there were like the tallest people in front of us sparsely situated which made the whole trying-to-catch-a-glimpse of the band quite tough. Haha, and I found myself jumping exceptionally high during the high points of the songs to try to see whats up in the front (I guess I grew like a few cm taller after the show too). The best of the concert was when the lead came down to mingle with the crowd and did some human wave thing. I think this cannot be experienced in huge scale concert and the personal touch is really a huge plus point. I really like the bracelet entry "tix" they gave too as it will be a good souvenir, better than the paper tickets concerts usually gives. In short, we had fun at the concert =)

Today I did something for the first time...kinda. I actually tried to donate blood before, but due to certain circumstances wasn't able to the first time round. So I tried again today, and I got to the almost final stage. There I was, sitting on the super high seat (kind of like beach chairs), resting my legs out and looking under my shoes to see how they look like to others and just looking around to see how people react to the needle poking and the blood oozing out into the bags, when it was my turn. Okay, actually it took quite a long wait on the chair before a woman came to give me a sponge to squeeze and tighten my arms to find the vein. It took her quite fast, so I thought like everything was going well. Until she left, and never came back until 10-15 mins later. Not really sure what was supposed to happen too because I wasn't told any instructions during the break, so I just sat there and kept looking around until *tada* my turn came. She poked a small needle to insert some medication, should be pain killer, followed by the huge one, the "blood sucker". Okay here I put the double colon because it was supposed to have the sucking effect of blood during the donation to fill the bags. However, it didn't really work well for me, and after a long while (my bf started after me and had ended already), she declared that I was done for the months and gave me an ice pack. Yep, I got some special treatment =/ Anyways, I was given the blue smiley face bandage which made me conclude the experience as not a bad one =)
And yeah, on top of all the tibits and stickers I koped, I got an additional orh cheh as a souvenir plus some blue-black cream that I had to apply...
It was an interesting experience and I will encourage people to donate at least once to have a feel of how blood donation drives work: the donors who give the extra time to save someone else's life, the free food/lunch you can take after donation (win-win both ways), the cool sticker one can be proud to wear without being judge negatively, and of course the cute sponge souvenirs (which the woman never give me -.-) that they give to donors as an appreciation. So what are you waiting for? Go to a drive and say "I want to donate blood!" today ;)
That's all folks!

I'm pretty excited about an event that will be coming up (not that soon, but well, time flies) =D. But on the other hand, my work is draining alot of my mental powers which makes me tired by the end of it all. Of course, I wouldn't want to live my life where I just work and sleep and work and sleep. However, I think my discipline has been lagging because I have been reaching home quite late where my day doesn't end there : I still have to bathe which takes around 20 mins and wait for the hair to dry naturally (about 2hours) or blow dry it (give it 45 mins). So that's a minimum of a one and a half hours before I can proceed to brush my teeth and call it a day. Putting this in mind, the ideal time to reach home will be 9pm where I get just enough time to prepare and sleep a full 7 hours. But in this case, I'll only have 3 hours after work ends and supposedly curfew rime, and 1.5 hours have to be dedicated to travel. This leaves me with what....1.5 hour to get a life? What a joke =( anyways, I guess I should try to learn how to mange time better and get home earlier cos my parents have not been seeing me for abit now =X well that's all for now, gotta go catch up on the precious sleeping time now. Tata!
So as the blog title suggest, this post will be dedicated to the beefs! Well, we've been eating quite a bit of meaty meals lately, and quite a few of them are steaks-related, so *tada* it inspired the photos as well as the post =)
First up, is a steak meal found in the heartlands of Hougang. There's this rather famous western food stall that seems to have the best business of the lot. I used to always order their chicken chop instead because the steak pricing is kinda much higher than what I would want to pay for a meal. But after trying the steak set recently (we tried it twice already =X), and maybe because I started working, I find the price still quite okay. Maybe because the meat tastes nice and it's worth the money too! Oh, and another thing I found nice about the set was the potato although I liked the small potato balls and rosti much better.
Moving on to another heartland (not too sure if this area is considered heartland or not), we came to this restaurant that has a super nice exterior. They have a few branches across the city but we came here because it's on our way home and also the least 'popular' area (= less crowded). Amazingly, we were the first customers for dinner time for the day, although the restaurant didn't get overcrowded over the time we were there too. It was definitely a good thing because we managed to get our grills changed quite regularly which makes the meat much nicer to eat! Being a fussy me, changing of the grills is actually one of the significant factor that affects my consideration whether to go back to the place again or not. So this place, is definitely a go-back-to place in terms of grill management. Of course, service is another thing and this place has really good service (he says), which I agree although I find it quite weird having 2 person stand by the table throughout the whole meal. Although this also translates into a never empty water cup, which is good in a way ;) One thing which is not favorable is the steep pricing of the meats. We ordered over a $100 worth of food, so I think the basic fare for one will be not below $50 for a decent meal. But what you pay for is what you get I guess, cause this has got to be the best bbq (perhaps even meal) that I have ever eaten in ma life! Every piece of meat that we got was really good looking and delicious tasting *yums* man! See, I even went to search for the Japanese delicious word because it's that good!
On another hand, I also liked the design and classic black & white concept because it makes everything look so classy and atas. The only things not black and white are the charcoal and meats, which also comes in intricately cut slices (yes! the charcoals too!) that makes it feel like the whole thing was prepared with alot of heart, and maybe that's why they taste and cook so good too! Heh heh heh...So the first thing we got was a trial platter. Yep you read it right, it's a trial only. I don't understand how do people trial this amount, and decide to call the main platter, and then still go on to call other types of food. Won't full one meh?
Moving on, we got to eat beef tongue - I dubbed the most dangerous dish of the meal. Most of the time when I was eating, I didn't really know its my tongue or the beef's, so that's why I think it's a really dangerous dish. Order on your own risk. The taste was unique though, maybe just be careful can already.
This dish is interesting in a way that I have never eaten bacon that looked like this before. All the bacon I ate before came as long this slices, which are exact opposites of these small fat chunks below. I find them rather peppery for my liking, but luckily (as mentioned above), I didn't worry at all because I could drink all the water I need. *thumbs up*
The following 2 dishes came from pigs so they aren't exactly beef, but other than that, that taste really good too! This next dish is pretty interesting to eat and the waitress told us that they are taken from the pig chins-area and is quite thick. It's called smth smth smth jowl.
The last meaty dish is this, although I can't rmb the name of it, but I remembered that they're thin slices and abit hare to cook. Okay to eat and my least favourite of the lot though.
Aha! There's this very cool lemon squincher that is available there too!
Yep, and we all know what can make him smile so happily, even as he busily cooked the meal...Later on, we went to a nearby supermarket and saw this celery-looking stick which we realized is quite similar to some pokemon if he held it in a certain way. For comparison's sake, see below.
So that's all for my beefy encounters!
I shall continue when I have more time!

It's always been that way and I doubt it'll change anytime soon. It's just so disappointing that it is happening again and it has already happened for so long. I still thought you were a nice person, now I know you appear to be one with your empty words where the actions never follow through. People say that these kind of stuff happen. Thought it could be different. Sadly after starting and experiencing it myself, it isn't and maybe you're worse than what they say;
Have you ever been in a place where you don't really know what you're doing? Well, I'm in that place right now. Actually, I knew what I wanted to do a long time ago, before I made (stupid) choices. Now, it may never be achievable again because of my circumstances. Can't totally blame the circumstances too, because my mind also faltered along the way. The urge is not as strong now, but if I could do it all over again, maybe I would have done it another way. For now, it could be the next nearest thing to it, but unless something starts to progress, it seems like a bleak place to be in. Perhaps the conventional choice is really the better choice;

Ever since my first volunteer work, I can't rmb any once have I felt unhappy doing it. I believe that people who do not have the most are always the ones who appreciate the most - because they've lived the worse, and they know what is it like to have something, to even not have something. It's not everything you have means its good. Sometimes, when you don't have, it's better. Take for example, if you don't have to worry about getting a job you like, if you don't have to face bullying, if you don't have to worry about anything. This may be why I like helping them, cause they appreciate what you've done for them, and it really shows. They are much more sensitive towards others, much more thouhtful when the others don't even bother to think more about what they just blabber out of their mouth or commit an action. And more often than not, they don't expect reciprocation. They are okay with always being there when you want them to, but they don't expect you to be there when they want you to. From another perspective, it could be because you feel they need and want you there, more than whatever place you could be at. Why would you stay at a place where there is no need of you, and not be at another where whatever you can contribute and help in another persons life. Honestly, I don't find anything more satisfying than helping people, maybe perhaps doing something arty farty. Sometimes I dunno why I'm doing this, sometimes I dunno why I'm doing anything I'm doing at all. Anyway, its an internal conflict which only I can solve in time to come. Please don't dictate my life, I'm me, not you.

Okay, so here's another backdated post on : FOOD!
We have been eating around and about, trying new stuffs and going back to the old turfs, and here's a collection of what food adventure we've been through lately =)
-----It's MOO MOO time!-----
Okay, he found this stall selling the same thai bbq which we had been planning to eat for some time, just that it's cooked in a different way. This place has quite good reviews too, and so we gave it a try. I think it's a really a nice experience as the food comes quite fast and for the cooked food, they're still hot/warm too. The waiter was very hospitable and nice too, he went the extra mile to put fans in case the customers feels too stuffy. Although the food is not cooked the traditional charcoal way, the service itself will definitely make me want to come back here when I crave for a thai bbq. Just look at the food we ordered, heh heh heh~
And the name says it all...
Maximizing the utility of the bbq set...
-----I went to a pub!-----
Okay, more like "pub" because it's not the drinking kind of place, more like an adaptation of it. The ambiance makes its quite homely and feels like we're overseas (although I have nv gone to an overseas pub before). Overall, the food was quite surprising and nice. It's quite ex too, with a set meal costing up to $60+. But they had the one-for-one offer and he bought the coupon, so just try lorh! haha =)
The appetizer : bread with special sauce which tasted quite nice
Ah! I like this : Salmon in a rose shape (the plate design is quite nice too)
The main thing : I like the potatoes best =P
Desserts time : we ordered both choices cos' we didn't know which to take. But I like the crumble one better...
-----the small meal----
Haha, we went back here because we had the wanna-eat-but-don't-wanna-eat-too-much kind of feeling again, and because we didn't had to order full meals, this place will be a good place to satisfy our tummys. This time round, we tried the polo buns. They're quite nice, crispy outside and meaty inside. But the only thing I didn't really like was that it wasn't hot from the oven. They're meant more for the takaways, so mass produced and place at the display there we guess...it's a good try though.
Since we don't come here often, we decided to get the things we haven't ordered before. Hence, we ordered the fried thingys (shiet i forgot what are they), and the yew char kway wrapped in chee jiong fan skin. The fried one is nice. Wouldn't order the yew char kway thingy again though, not that it's not nice, but it feels weird eating it that way and we can get the nice yew char kway under a dollar at elsewhere too.
Double boiled chicken soup. Hmmm it's not bad butt..I prefer the crystal jade one better =X
-----one month liao-----
Yes, it's been one month already. Money has been exchanged. And what comes in, will go out. But this is a happy lost I guess, cos' I get to eat them good food too! Yummy!
-----a dish we almost couldn't have-----
For this dish, we traveled for 3 days, over 39 km and finally got to get a taste of it. It's quite an interesting meal, although for most of the time, my mouth was already numbed with hotness. Not really expensive, but it's really all the effort taken to travel to the place that makes this meal hard to get. Not sure if I like it though...but yes, I like laksa.
-----tei & sushi-----
Recently, I had some salmon craving. It's a really expensive craving when a piece can cost up to $1.90 and you need much much much moore than a single piece to satisfy your craving. So one thing led to another and we ended up at this sushi place again. Here, we sat teppanyaki-style beside the chefs preparing the meals. It's actually not too bad this way cause firstly, we get to skip a queue, secondly, we get the freshest meat cause they will prepare and serve us directly (save the time taken to wait for the waiters/waitresses to get the orders and walk to our table), and finally, it's my first time sitting this way (although its not the authentic teppanyaki meal but it's good enuf!). Quite awkward at first cause it's not only a one-way customer stare at chef, but a two way thing. But along the way, I learned that the way to go, is to stare at the sashimi meat instead.
And to satisfy the salmon crave, we ordered mostly salmon dishes. I was still craving for salmon after that though...the troubles of a person with big stomach =/
-----tang lai liao-----
Need smth to fill your stomach for awhile but don't wanna wait for too long? Soup is the way to go. I still like home-cooked soups better though...
-----furniture food-----
Guess where we ate? Yes, ikea of course. The meatballs meal : made up of countless meatballs with side dishes such as chicken wings, mushroom soup, ebi sandwich, broccoli & of course, sa-sa-salmon. I seriously need a salmon buffet. (x.x)
The End! That's all foods!
